Crackin Christmas Concert

The South Woodham Ferrers Centre and The Billericay School Hall on 8th and 13th December 1996

Yes the two concerts in December were a great success! The evenings first half comprised of songs by the School Choir, solos by Louise Moore and Georgie Swan. Donna Fleming played a Clarinet solo and the Recorder Ensemble played a piece. The Youth Choir also performed and Catherine Moore and Natalie Thurlow played trombones. This year it was Marianne Quintrells turn to receive the Robert Phillips Cup awarded for services to the Music department. After a short interval the Studio Orchestra came on and played a selection of tunes. This was the first public performance with the Orchestra's two new singers: Catherine Jaggs and Sian McGonigle, they joined Louise Moore and Georgie Swan to form the vocal section of the group. Unfortunately after the concert on Sunday Georgie Swan was taken ill and wasn't able to perform in Fridays concert, thankfully he is getting better now and we all wish him a speedy recovery. Below is a full run-down of the evenings entertainment and a collage of images from the concerts.
